BJ the Chicago Kid is set to release his major label debut album, In My Mind. The Chi-City native recently let loose a couple of tracks from the collection to whet fans’ appetite. The two songs, “Turnin Me Up” and “Church (West Coast Remix),” showcase the crooner’s falsetto pipes and soulful sound.

On the funky “Turnin’ Me Up,” BJ updates a Temptatons-inspired groove with jazzy horns, organs and soul claps as he yearns for his ladylove to turn him on. “It’s every little bit of the things that you do that keeps turning me on,” he croons on the way-too funky track.

Meanwhile, on "Church (West Coast Remix)," he enlists Los Angeles-based rapper-crooners Ty Dolla $ign and Anderson .Paak to assist him on the vocals. The song follows behind the Chicago Remix, which featured Lil Durk and Jeremih.

The West Coast Remix finds the trio delivering freaky tales over a slow groove as Ty Dolla sings about a sexual tryst, while Paak adds a spiritual twist to his verse.

These two songs are the perfect set up for BJ the Chicago Kid's upcoming LP In My Mind, which is due to hit stores on Feb. 19. You can pre-order the album now on iTunes.
