After releasing his Dark Sky Paradise documentary, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of his third album, Big Sean is moving forward with the visuals for his very personal ode “One Man Can Change the World" featuring his G.O.O.D. Music brothers John Legend and Kanye West.

In the sentimental video, Sean gets nostalgic as he pays tribute to his late grandmother, Mildred V. Leonard, who passed away in 2014 at 93. “Success is on the way, I feel it in the distance / Used to look up at the stars and be like ain't too much that's different / I be shinin', they be shinin', get your one shot don't you miss it / What you know bout' wakin' up everyday like you on a mission?” he rhymes in the opening verse.

Leonard was not only an inspiration for the rapper but also for women with big dreams. She was one of the first female black captains in World War II and a pillar in her Detroit community as one of the first black female police officers in the city. His grandmother also served for 30 years with the Detroit Public School System as a teacher and counselor.

Sean decided to shed some light on this third single off the album and how it’s garnering radio play despite not  a typical party anthem. “Never had a song like this be a single, it's different then what's on radio, but I feel it's needed w/ all the craziness goin on right now…,” he tweeted on Thursday, the day before the video was released.

He continued to speak from the heart and even highlighted that he consciously chose not to swear on this specific track.
