Big Sean and Jhene Aiko ended Easter Sunday with the announcement of a new, collaborative body of work that will drop on Friday.

Both artists retweeted video posts from a brand new twitter account named “TWENTY88” late Sunday night and changed their profile pictures to the album cover artwork that displays both of their faces. The date of the music release was also posted to the TWENTY88 twitter page and retweeted by both Aiko and Sean Don.

Jhene and Sean’s twitter bios also read “1/2 of TWENTY88” inferring this could be more than just a one album collaboration, they could now be a duo. If that’s the case, it’s a bit surprising they'd join forces in a more permanent sense, as both entertainers have done very well individually. But more unpredictable things have happened; like when Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank formed R&B supergroup TGT.

However, this isn't the first time these two talented spirits have linked up to make magic. Sean and Jhene worked together on previous songs like “I Know” and “Beware”.

The name TWENTY88 has yet to be explained but one can imagine it has to do with futuristic vibes, and/or the fact that both of them were born in 1988 and just turned 28 this month.

If their preceding work is any indication, we can expect passionate, relatable lyrics over smooth beats. Pretty much nothing but hits.

Hopefully, when April 1st comes, it’s not an April Fool’s joke because I can’t handle the disappointment.

If you can’t wait for the music, check out Big Sean’s birthday released solo single in the meantime, here.

And there's another teaser for the project below:
