There's nothing like the beginning of the school year. If you are a student starting out at NYU, the beginning of classes is even more special because every year the school puts on a concert with a mystery guest to get students excited for the upcoming semester. This year's surprise guest was none other than Big Boi.

Joined by Dr. Dog and The Knocks, Daddy Fat Sax headlined the Sept. 8 event at NYU's Skirball Center and ran through multiple Outkast hits as well as 2010 bangers from his recent 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty' record. The crowd seemed especially excited to hear some of the Outkast hits that defined their early teen years -- 'Ms. Jackson,' 'Player's Ball' and 'Rosa Parks.'

Big Boi is definitely pleasing the fans with his solo turn, but recent leaks like the Andre 3000-assisted 'Lookin 4 Ya' remix that came out this week have renewed calls for OutKast to produce a new album together. Big Boi agrees that, while the solo ride has been fun, it's time to get back to older business.

"I'm contractually obligated," he said when asked about the OutKast situation with Jive Records. "I got a deal with Def Jam and also I'm signed with OutKast to Jive too, so I got two record deals. To fulfill those contractual obligations, we gotta do what we gotta do. And it's business. Ain't no feelings in business."
