Beyonce Kicks Off Intimate Roseland Shows — Watch

Last week, when tickets to the first of '4 Intimate Nights With Beyonce' went on sale, it took all but 22 seconds for the pop darling's show to sell out. Sunday night (Aug. 14), the songstress kicked off the series of shows in New York with a 20-piece all female band and worked her way through tracks off her fourth album, '4'.

The 29-year-old superstar, showing off her curves in a metallic dress, commanded the crowd inside Manhattan's Roseland Ballroom. While she performed her entire opus '4' -- minus the track 'Start Over' -- she also treated her loyal supporters to songs from her past catalog, including the 'B'Day' smash 'Irreplaceable.'

Eager fans in the standing room-only venue sang along with the former Destiny's Child frontwoman, belting out her lyrics word-for-word.

Beyonce will continue to showcase a medley of her past and present hits on Aug. 16, 18 and 19, when she will close out her intimate performances.
