Beyonce, Kanye West Moved By Obama’s Win
Beyonce, Kanye West and Usher are all proud to have witnessed president-elect Barack Obama's sweeping victory to become the nation's first black president. During the Senator's 20 month campaign the stars have been vocal Obama supporters and are basking in the fruits of their labor.
A usually reserved public figure, Beyonce was down right giddy when speaking about Obama's win. "I've never been so patriotic!" She laughed. In honor of our future president she donned a blue suit and tie plus red, white and blue stilettos. "I'm just beyond excited," Beyonce, who's in Japan promoting her upcoming release 'I Am...Sasha Fierce,' said. The diva cut her trip short to experience the historic election results at home.
The singer/actor is also planning on attending the inauguration. "I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want - if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready," she said.
R&B superstar Usher was also visibly moved by the election. "Man, this is incredible," he said in an interview. "It's so incredible to see that this historical thing has happened. Before it was a thought of what happens if he doesn't win. The public service that went into this and the encouragement that came out of it, it's just incredible to see it happen."

West kept his response short via his blog: "Hi Mom, Obama Won!" Lately the rapper, whose mother died last November, has taken to his blog instead of interviews.
London-based singer Estelle, who collaborated with West on her hit 'American Boy' also showed her happiness. "I am ecstatic!" She said via an e-mail interview. "I just got the news arriving in the U.K. I'm so proud of Americans for making that change happen! Let's go towards a great new future!"
From the beginning of his campaign Obama embraced support from members of the hip-hop community. He has received public endorsements from Vibe Magazine, and has been the subject of several songs. Among them is rapper Young Jeezy's "My President" which has been on heavy rotation on urban radio. The rapper is shooting a video for the song which will debut in the next few weeks.
