Although today (Aug. 4) is President Barack Obama’s 55th birthday, he and the First Lady Michelle Obama planned to celebrate with an all-star private bash on Friday (Aug. 5).

An insider told New York Post's Page Six that Michelle is planning a special party for her hubby at the White House. Among the guests invited to the soiree include Beyonce and Jay Z, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Ellen DeGeneres, Stevie Wonder and Alonzo Mourning. On the political side, Vice President Joe Biden, Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Loretta Lynch are rumored to show up as well.

As far entertainment, rap superstar Kendrick Lamar and R&B vet Usher have been tapped to perform.

“All the preparations and the guest list are being kept top-secret," said the source. "The plan is to throw a party for the president to really let his hair down. There will be performances and a dance party that will go late into the night. Social media will be banned.”

We don't know if President Obama can let his hair down but he certainly has a lot of grey on top. Hopefully, Michelle will lead partygoers to a karaoke session, she seems really good at it.

And the party won't stop on Friday. Afterward. The First Family are planning to travel to Martha’s Vineyard for their yearly vacation on Saturday (Aug. 6).

Happy Birthday, President Obama!
