Beyonce sings on the somber tune 'I Was Here,' a track featured on her forthcoming album, '4,' being released June 28.

Produced by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder and his fellow bandmate Brent Kutzle, the song finds the R&B beauty's crisp vocals dancing over piano keys and big drums. While much of the material on her new effort is full of love talk -- good and bad -- Beyonce turns in another direction on 'I Was Here,' crooning about making her mark on this earth before her time is up.

Bey called on the talents of Diane Warren -- the esteemed songwriter wrote Milli Vanilli's 'Blame It On The Rain,' Brandy's 'Have You Ever?' and Mya's 'My First Night With You,' among others -- to pen the track. While the lyrics are a bit on the morbid side, it works in the singer's favor, proving she can tackle a myriad of subjects.

The BoomBox has released six exclusive tracks from Beyonce's '4' LP, completing the full album listening experience today, June 22. 'I Care,' 'Best Thing I Never Had,' 'Rather Die Young,' 'Love On Top' and 'End of Time' have already made their debut.
