With every new year comes a fresh batch of talent, and 2015 is no different. Whether it's the genre-benders who push the limits on what R&B and hip-hop sound like to the unique souls who draw on their personal experiences to craft lyrical art, the nominees for this year's Best New Artist in The Boombox Fan Choice Awards will inspire you to tap into new sounds you may have never thought of listening to before, let only voting for.

Alessia Cara is the epitome of raw honesty. With her track, "Here," climbing up the charts, she doesn't need your approval to speak her truth. New York rapper Post Malone is another artist who likes to break the rules with tracks like "White Iverson" and "#mood." And if there's someone who takes the idea of avant garde to another level, it's FKA twigs. The British singer has mesmerized audiences with her unabashed lyrics and elaborate performances, including her recent production, Congregata.

Canadian singer and rapper Tory Lanez has worked with the likes of Bauuer, RL Grime and Ryan Hemsworth to produce a body of work that'll not only make you groove but feel ever word he delivers as well. Kehlani is also another artist that is all about the feels. The Oakland singer-songwriter teams up with Chance the Rapper and BJ on her latest mixtape, You Should Be Here, and will blow you away right after pressing play. Meanwhile, Tori Kelly made a splash when she performed alongside Smokey Robinson at the 2015 BET Awards this year. "Nobody Love" and "Should've Been Us" prove that she's more than just your average pop singer.

There are a number of nominees who like to bring various influences and blend them into hip-hop and R&B. Leon Bridges takes it back to old school melodies while Raury's conviction makes him a smart lyricist that enjoys keeping things smooth on the production end. Andra Day takes us into the world of jazz, serving as a Billie Holiday 2.0 whenever she gets on the mic. Tink might not go too far back in time but she does pay homage to the late Aaliyah with her track, "Million." As a singer and a rapper, she shows strength in her words and fluidity in her vocals.

If there was one rapper who's on top of his game right now, it's Fetty Wap. From the moment "Trap Queen" released, he's soared to stardom and quickly became a household name. But Dej Loaf isn't too far behind. Tracks like "Try Me," "Back Up" and "Hey There" have garnered her fans all over the hip-hop world.

Other nominees include D.R.A.M., Little Simz, GoldLink, Nao, Bryson Tiller, Lady Leshurr, Mick Jenkins and Saba.

Vote for the artist you feel should take home The Boombox Fan Choice Award for Best New Artist of 2015. Remember you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. EST.
