B.o.B hit a high point in his career last night opening the second New York performance of Jay-Z and Eminem's historical double bill, but he's got another milestone on the way. The Atlanta native has been tapped to perform for President Barack Obama at the Gen44 Summit on September 30. B.o.B discussed the honor with Shade 45's Angela Yee backstage at Yankee Stadium.

"Well, I can't really go into much detail," he said of the honor. "But basically, I'm performing for Obama for a function that he's having and bringing out a band and everything. We're basically doing a concert for the President of the United States."

He continued by explaining that he was shellshocked when he got the call, skeptical that the gig was for real. "We couldn't believe it, like, really? Seriously? I actually didn't say anything about it, didn't speak to anyone about it, because I didn't believe it at first," he stated. "I was like aw, come on. I'll wait 'til I get there, then I'll celebrate."

B.o.B is set to perform on the first day of the three-day summit, meant to empower and cultivate the next generation of leaders for the Democratic Party.
