B.o.B warmed-up for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards last night when he sat in the hot seat across from talk show comedienne and this year's VMA host Chelsea Handler. The Hotlanta native stopped by her E! show 'Chelsea Lately,' discussing how he found out about his five VMA nominations, what inspired him to come into the game so young and, of course, working with his mentor T.I., who was recently arrested for felony drug charges.

"I have spoken to him. Everything's doing good," he said. "Speaking of, we've actually been working in the studio and have a lot of good songs to look forward to."

The 21-year-old also spoke on how opening for Jay-Z and Eminem at their recent Detroit double-bill was one of the high points of his career. 'We just did the ones in Detroit, and man, it was like hip-hop Woodstock,' he stated, noting that he's currently on tour with Playboy Tre. 'It's amazing. Out of everything that I've experienced in my entire career, opening up that night was when it finally set in and I was like, wow!'

The 'Airplanes' singer also revealed that he and his hit single's co-star, Paramore's Hayley Williams, have yet to meet, explaining that technology has made everything possible so far. "I've spoken to her through Twitter," he said with a laugh. "It's 2010, that's what you've got to do now."

B.o.B and Chelsea Handler will meet again at the 2010 MTV VMAs, which air this Sunday, Sept. 12 at 9PM.
