Azealia Banks Pressing Charges Against Russell Crowe; Calls RZA a ‘Cornball’

Azealia Banks is fighting back after the RZA went on TMZ and told them that Russell Crowe was justified in expelling the rapper out of his party for her “obnoxious” behavior. Banks went on her Facebook page and wrote a series of posts, including that she will be “moving forward” in pressing charges against the Oscar-winning actor.

A quick recap: Banks was thrown out of Crowe’s party last weekend after she allegedly became belligerent and purportedly threatened a partygoer with a wine glass. Banks claimed that Crowe choked her, spat on her and called her the N-word while tossing her out of his party. Banks also denies that she threatened anyone at the party. Banks also called RZA “a chump” for not coming to her aid.

RZA disagrees with her. In an interview with TMZ, the Wu-Tang Clan founder said he was in shock by her erratic behavior and that Crowe was justified in expelling her out of the party. RZA said he was in the middle of the fracas and didn’t hear Crowe call Banks the N-Word. He also admitted that Crowe did spit at her but it didn’t landed. In the end, RZA said that Banks brought the incident on herself for acting "illogical" at the party.

Banks went on her Facebook page and admitted that she called Crowe "Old and Fat" at the party and afterward she became the target of his ire. However, she stated that it doesn't excuse the 52-year-old actor for violently throwing her out of the party.

"Regardless, you need to have the respect and decency to have someone properly escorted out," she wrote. "Grabbing them by the neck, calling them n----- and tossing them out is not the look. NOR Is spitting an acceptable form of self-defense. I will be moving forward with Pressing charges."

As for the RZA, Banks says that her reported deal with him is off because a third party doesn't want the legendary producer involved. "You guys clearly don't get what's happening here. My record deal is still on the table...RZA is just getting cut out of it for being a cornball," she writes.
