Avery*Sunshine showcases her distinctly soulful voice on her latest single, “Come Do Nothing.” The song is from her upcoming still-untitled album due out in February 2017 on Shanachie Entertainment. The R&B singer just released her lyric video to the ballad to hold fans over until her proper visual is available.

Over tinkling piano chords, jubilant horns and a sumptuous R&B groove, the Philadelphia songbird yearns for the company of her ex-lover.

"But I can't sleep at night for wishing you were / I wish you were here with me / Doin' nothin' here with me / I wanna hold you tight / Baby won't you come on over here with me," she sings.

"This is a song that shows the duality that most of us experience in relationships...'I can't live with you but I can't live without you,'" explains Avery*Sunshine about the song. "What better way to tell your ex or significant other how much you miss them than by telling them to 'come on over...we can do absolutely nothing and I'll be satisfied.'"

The 41-year-old singer released her self-titled debut album in 2010, which features the soothing ballad, "The Ugly Part of Me." In 2014, Avery*Sunshine released her first album on Shanachie Entertainment called The Sun Room. The collection boasts 12 soulful tunes, including the smooth ballad "Call My Name," the sensuous "Sweet Afternoon" and the gospel-eque "Safe In His Arms."
