A recent trip to a grocery store may turn into a legal battle for singer August Alsina.

According to TMZ, the “No Love” singer was shopping at the Food 4 Less store on Wednesday in the San Fernando Valley around 9 p.m. PDT when three women and a man kept harassing him for a picture.

The website reports that Alsina told the fans he wasn’t feeling well, as he’s currently battling a liver disease, but the fans wouldn’t stop. An employee of the store who saw the fans hounding the singer eventually called the police.

After Alsina left the store, the four fans continued following him, and that’s when the musician allegedly grabbed a gun from his car, placed it in the waistband of his pants and exposing the butt of the gun.

By the time police arrived, Alsina was gone from the scene, but the site’s law enforcement sources claim the singer did not point the gun at the fans or make any verbal threats towards them. Police did write a brandishing firearm report but since the case appears to be a he-said-she-said, authorities believe the case will go no where.

In May, Alsina went on Instagram and revealed he was dealing with a liver disease. “I’m sicker than ever & having a hard time accepting what I feel & what the doctors are saying is most true,” the singer wrote.

He continued, “After sitting down and talking with my fathers mother and sister. They explained to me that sickness & illness runs in my family. My father & grandfather both died of severe illness. but they were FIGHTERS & that’s all that matters.”
