Audio Push Wants to ‘Spread Love’ With New Video
Audio Push is delivering the first visuals for their track "Spread Love," which also serves as the first single from their upcoming album, 90951.
The Christopher Scholar-directed video kicks off with visuals of an adorable kid as a high-pitched voice -- possibly a kid -- says, "I got what you need, spread your love for me." The rest of the visual shows the duo alternating between performing onstage in suits and riding around the neighborhood in a low-rider as they spit some rhymes over the Hit-Boy-produced track. There's a few references to the black boys and men who became hashtags after being shot-and-killed over the past few year as well.
According to the press release, the visual is meant to give "a message of hope, love and of fighting the good fight to the masses during a period of social unrest and injustices."
Hit-Boy, who also produced their entire upcoming album, is also known for laying the tracks for Kanye West and Jay Z's "N----- in Paris," Kendrick Lamar's "Backseat Freestyle" and Beyonce's "XO."
90951 is slated to be released on Sept. 23. But before that, the duo will host an album release party and show on Sept. 22 in Pomona, California. Then, Audio Push will head across the U.S. for a 30-day tour with Dizzy Wright.
