On August 28, rap newcomers Asher Roth and B.o.B. are scheduled to perform at Virginia Commonwealth University's Back to School Jam. The occassion is a nod to Welcome Week for the incoming freshman class. But, Denise Miller, president of the Regional Drug Free Alliance, has questioned the student body's decision to book Roth, who promotes a beer guzzling, hard partying lifestyle.

"Having this artist come to the campus normalizes inappropriate, illegal and unhealthy behaviors," Miller told the Richmond-Times Dispatch. Roth raps in his hit 'I Love College:' "Drink my beer and smoke my weed but my good friends is all I need/Pass out at 3, wake up at 10, go out to eat then do it again/Man, I love college."

While B.o.B. and Asher Roth are relatively tame in comparison to their more gangsta contemporaries, Miller expressed her "disappointment" in the pick, which also sports a hefty $100,000 price tag. The students are footing the bill.

According to reports, VCU may even go so far as to request that Roth not perform his hit 'I Love College' at the concert.
