If you miss that musical chemistry between Ja Rule and Ashanti from the Murder Inc. days (circa 1999-2003), then you’ll love this. The rap and R&B duo are reuniting for a headlining national tour, according to AllHipHop.com.

No word on exactly when and where the tour set to take place but they both have appearances lined up for this Thursday (May 5) the San Manuel Indian Bingo Casino in Highland California. Props to Ja and 'Shanti for keeping their friendship and undeniable musical chemistry alive.

While they are in the middle of planning a co-headlining tour, Ashanti has been recording new music for her forthcoming album, which is set to release in June.

In addition, the 35-year-old singer and actress has also been pretty busy in Hollywood as an executive producer for the film Mothers and Daughters, which is set to release in theaters and on VOD May 6.

“I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with this great cast and crew on my first feature film executive producing efforts,” said Ashanti in a statement (via ThisIsRnB.com). “I have such a close relationship with my Mom, who is also my Manager, aka Momanger so I really related to this project.”
