Ashanti will have to put forth her "braveheart" to face her stalker once more.

The singer is currently dealing with a retrial involving Devar Hurd, the man who's been harassing her on social media and come in contact with her family. "I'm shocked and horrified at the thought of going through this ordeal again, but I will do whatever it takes to make sure my family is safe and that justice is served," she said in a statement to The Associated Press.

In the past five years, Hurd has been tried two times for harassing Ashanti and members of her family.  A mistrial occurred on Thursday (Dec. 19) due to a juror's illness, which prolongs the case.

Last week in court, Ashanti revealed Hurd was responsible for sending her X-rated Twitter posts. He also posed for a photo with her sister Shia, despite a court order, which restricted him from any contact with the Douglas family.

Hurd, who is apparently an aspiring rapper, spent two years in prison on a 2009 stalking harassment conviction, after he sent the ‘Braveheart’ singer's mother elicit text messages as well.
