Ariana Grande and the Weeknd Team Up for ‘Love Me Harder’ at 2014 American Music Awards

Ariana Grande went for all-black everything when she took the stage Sunday night (Nov. 23) at the 2014 American Music Awards, donning a black lace gown while performing her feel-good 'Problem' and the EDM-tinged 'Break Free.'

The singer was backed by a sax for a big band version of 'Problem' and a piano for 'Break Free.' The audience was surprised and broke out into screams and applause when the Weeknd entered the stage to join Grande for their collaboration 'Love Me Harder.'

Dressed in a Supreme Jacket and red-and-black Nike Air Jordans, the Weeknd delivered his straight-to-the-point lyrics. "I know your motives and you know mine / The ones that love me, I tend to leave behind / If you know about me and choose to stay / Then take this pleasure and take it with the pain," he sings.

To show his appreciation for their moment, he moved in for a hug and gave Grande a kiss on the cheek before exiting the stage.
