Ariana Grande Performs ‘Tattooed Heart’ at 2013 American Music Awards

Picture Ariana Grande as performer in a smoky New York club in the 1920's, and you get the overall vibe of her 2013 American Music Awards performance. The 'Yours Truly' songstress performed the doo-wop referencing 'Tattooed Heart' for the concert's second performance.

Grande donned a sparkling red dress and let her voice set the atmosphere as she sang with the help of four black suited singers in the background. It was a sharp contrast to the Oriental nature of the Katy Perry performance that came before it.

Ciara and Lady Gaga were two of the many attendees who applauded the young singer's well-done performance.

Later that night, Grande won the AMA's New Artist of the Year award. Congrats!
