Did Kanye West just announce his next album by delivering a mysterious package to MTV?

At first, the answer to that question was up in the air, but now it's been answered by Ye's label Def Jam, as well as some of his reps.

"[It's] really weird and suspiciously like a hoax," said someone from the historic label.

Yesterday (March 15), a box with a NASA logo arrived at MTV, and in it was a VHS tape labeled "E PLURIBUS UNUM." There was also a white credit card in the package with the numbers 772233688 and the words  "NASA, PROJECT-10, Kanye West, 8/10 written on it.

Initially, the 8/10 was thought to be an Aug. 10 release date for Yeezy's next LP, but that information turned out to be false. Moreover, when the VHS tape was played, it only contained two hours of static, which was put on this website, which makes this thing even more strange. Even NASA commented on the weird package and said it had nothing to do with it.

"It's not from us," one of its reps told MTV. "The NASA logo used on the box is an old logo retired in 1992."

So far, Mr. West hasn't commented on the package, which isn't surprising because he's been extremely low-key since having a mental breakdown.

We'll have to see if the person who's behind this hoax reveals themselves.
