Dr. Dre may have not retired just yet. After releasing his swan-song album Compton last year, now comes word that the good doctor is working on new music.

Anderson .Paak, who recently signed with Dre’s Aftermath Records, revealed that the veteran producer is back in the studio working on new material.

"He's working right now, doing a lot of work right now," he said during an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra. "I can't really speak on it."

The 30-year-old R&B crooner was a major contributor to Dre’s Compton album. Unlike other artists who worked on various projects with the legendary hitmaker, .Paak was able to see his hard work come to fruition almost immediately.

"It was so quick, 80-90 percent of what I did was used and then it was out," he said. "That's not usually the case with Dre. A lot of people who work with Dre, you're lucky if anything sees the light of day."

"It was a blessing to have all that stuff go to market at the pace it did," he continues. "It's cool to be able to work with him at this place in his career when he's just ready to go."

Anderson .Paak is one of the hottest R&B singers in the game right now. His latest album, Malibu, has garnered him critical praise for his honest lyrics and musical ingenuity. Although he's riding on a huge wave of success, .Paak plans on enjoying every minute of it and not let it go to his head.

"I feel like one of the hardest things to do is catch a wave, and now that I've caught a wave, I just wanna ride it and remember what it's like to catch it, enjoy it and go out there and catch another one," he said.
