Anderson .Paak has been on the road with Bruno Mars supporting his stellar 2016 album Malibu but he recently delivered a great gift for his fans. On Monday (Aug. 7), the singer-drummer premiered his smooth ballad “Automatic” on Julie Adenuga’s Beats 1 radio show. The new song also features Australian producer/singer Ta-Ku who’s singing the hook.

Over mellow horns, melodic keyboards and head-nodding drum patterns, Anderson details his personal struggles in a relationship.

"Hey won't you spare my eyes / Your shine is blinding / My hands are too weak to hold that pure cup / Sip to lethal is this pure luck / Or perfect timing / God is smiling / As are you and I both hands interlocked / Souls intertwined with balance and signs your / Numbers and science / Chemistry is popping but nothing is perfect," he sings on the second verse.

Anderson also collaborated with Ta-Ku back in 2014 on his debut album, Venice. If you want to hear more from Anderson .Paak, check out his NxWorries Yes Lawd! project with producer Knxwledge.
