Amy Winehouse’s Home Reportedly Robbed
“This is such a sickening shock to the family,” a source told the paper. Copies of Winehouse’s unreleased tracks, lyric books and letters were reportedly lifted from the property by a former acquaintance of the late singer, who passed away July 23. Also missing are one of the ‘Back to Black’ creator’s beloved guitars and lyrics intended for her third album.
“That someone would stoop so low,” continued the source. “They can’t get their heads around it. [Winehouse's father] Mitch is livid. The family, record label and management are months away from deciding what to do with any unreleased music. For that to be taken out of their hands is horrible.
“Mitch is willing to give whoever has stolen the items a chance to do the right thing and put them back so it doesn’t have to get messy.”
This is just one more mystery to add to the Winehouse saga after her initial autopsy proved “inconclusive” and differing accounts of her substance abuse have emerged.
