Amber Rose may have alienated a big chunk of her hometown fanbase. During an appearance on Drink Champs, Rose talked to host N.O.R.E. about how difficult it was growing up, apparently, where she was the only pretty girl. Growing up at Broad and Ellsworth in South Philly, Rose says she felt like an outsider because of her looks.

“I don’t know how I can say this without sounding, like, f---ed up, but a lot of the people where I’m from aren’t traditionally attractive people,” Rose said. “For me, being blessed with beauty, as beautiful women know, is a blessing and a curse. To grow up in such an area and be blessed with beauty, it was very difficult for me.”

Explaining that she grew up in “very poor neighborhood” and added that “being blessed with beauty…is a blessing and a curse," Rose went on to say that people refused to believe she was from South Philly. She explained why she left Philly for New York City to pursue her career dreams.

"It was very difficult but I never felt like I belonged there," Rose shared. "I always felt way bigger than the city was. It wasn't big enough for me."

Let's just say, Twitter wasn't feeling Amber's commentary on Philly women.
