Further proof that Beyonce runs the world: A radio station in Houston (her hometown) has switched over to play the singer's music 24 hours a day. Yes, that just happened.

According to the Houston Chronicle, radio station KROI (92.1 FM) made the all-Beyonce switch on Tuesday (Oct. 7), after three years of being an all-news station. Unfortunately, the company's new direction cost 47 employees their jobs.

As of right now, the radio station is going through a transitional phase until they can figure out a permanent format. There's no word on how long the all-Beyonce format will continue at the station.

Radio One, which owns 92.1FM, explained that the sudden format change was the result of poor ratings and low revenues.

"This difficult decision is a result of sustained poor ratings performance and significant financial losses over the past three years despite the substantial financial and human resources we invested," reads the statement. "Unfortunately, the market hasn’t shown a sustainable appetite for news radio, but each of you motivated us daily to produce a high-quality news program. Together, we made history."

So if folks in Houston want to wake up like Beyonce, they can tune into 92.1 to hear her greatest hits.
