Alicia Keys ‘Unlock Yourself': Singer Releases New Song With Children’s App

Alicia Keys has released a new song, "Unlock Yourself," which is the theme from her new iPhone/iPad app, The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee.

The animated app is intended for children, and details the relationship between a little girl named LeeLee and her grandma, Mama Mae, who is based on Keys' own grandmother.

Accompanying the app, Keys' "Unlock Yourself" is a gentle piano ballad, inviting listeners to "take a trip" through The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee.

"The amazing part of this is it's completely inter-generational," Keys says of the app. "It's about a daughter and her grandmother. It's something that a mother and child can experience together, siblings can experience together, something that a grandmother and a grandchild can experience together."

The Journals of Mama Mae and LeeLee is available for download from the Apple App store for $3.99.
