Alicia Keys, who will debut her fifth studio album, Girl on Fire, Nov. 27, unveils the cover of the forthcoming project, showing off a bold, new look.

The "Rock Wit U" singer appears in a black-and-white image, posing with hands on her waist and donning a broad-shouldered outfit. She also flaunts a sleek, short haircut, which she debuted last month.

While her LP is still three months away from release, fans won't have to wait that long to hear songs she's recorded. Keys will perform the album's lead single, also titled "Girl on Fire," at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards Sept. 6.

Blues-infused artist Gary Clarke Jr., British electronic star Jamie xx and songstress Emeli Sande collaborated with the Grammy-winning entertainer for her 2012 opus. "New Day," a track she showcased in June, will likely find its way on the LP.

"'Girl on Fire' is about finding your voice, about being unleashed and about trusting your instincts and trusting yourself," Keys stated. "I can't wait to share it with the world."

Girl on Fire drops via RCA Records, with the title track hitting iTunes Sept. 4.
