The Air Jordan 3 Katrina never saw a release but all that changes next year. It’s looking like Nike is bringing the model to retailers with in a special edition release.

The model was famously sold under auction to benefit the Hurricane Katrina Charity fund and it did so in supreme style. The white leather sneaker is touched with an elephant print and fire red accents for one of the more memorable colorways in years. This special release will also be labeled with the word "Katrina" somewhere on its upper.

You won’t be able to get your hands on a pair until sometime in 2018, and the pair pictured here isn’t the retail version, but use your imagination and be patient.
