The adidas Superstar 80s have been truly living up to their name as of late, and and it only seems to be getting better. This time, the pair has popped up in a style that’s super slick, due in part to its scale-coated, original flavored upper.

The adidas Superstar 80s Scales turns the pair on its head by giving the white leather build a reptilian texture to be juxtaposed against the black leather accents on the stripes and heel tab. The rest of the shoe, namely the white rubber outsole and shelled toe, remain the same. The only real difference on this go around is that the tongue and other gold leaf branding that we typically see are absent, for a much quieter kick.

This version of the adidas Superstar 80 is currently available at select retailers including Solebox.
