Knowing that adidas Originals are a mainstay in the sneaker world, the classic shoe brand brought together "five of the world’s most die-hard adidas collectors" to give them a chance to remake the kicks' timeless models.

Adidas Originals brought the select sneakerheads to its headquarters in Germany to reproduce their favorite adidas frameworks. Following the blueprint of the Rivalry Hi and the Pro Model '80s, Germany's Julia Schoierer aka Sneakerqueen and New York's DJ Operator Emz, respectively, decided to take the throwbacks and recreate the classic high top and high top shell toe to remember their relationship with hip-hop growing up.

Excited by this unique opportunity, the remaining three collectors highlighted the adidas ZX550, Country and Bahamas archetypes, finding ways to bring back the passion people had when rocking the athletic, ridged-bottom sneakers.

The Collector's Project models haven't hit the streets yet, but you can follow the five adidas lovers and their kicks on Tumblr.
