adidas Originals Consortium ZX 420 ‘Quotoole’

The internet has been the catalyst for many great creations and its latest gift to humanity comes in the form of an unlikely adidas collaboration. Freelance illustrator Peter O'Toole and sneaker collector Quote met in the Crooked Tongue forums and their mutual love of sneakers has resulted in a book and their very own sneaker release.

A short form version of the story goes O'Toole based one of his illustrated City Series posters around Quotes collection and adidas approached them to craft an book based on the concept. As a part of the deal the pair also got to design a pair of sneakers and they chose the adidas ZX 420 thusly giving it a pale blue suede and mesh upper with hits of magenta and purple locked in as well.

Heads up book and sneaker collectors you can grab the combo at Footpatrol starting on Nov. 15 both in stores and online.
