Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz is bringing his humanitarianism to the sneaker industry. The Beastie Boys member has a launched a new sneaker with Los Angeles-based footwear company Keep called “The Ad-Rock Ramos.”

The shoe itself is water-resistant with a nylon cordura body and lined with synthetic shearling, which should keep your feet warm during the colder months. The sneaker is also quilted and stuffed with synthetic down. Each pair features embroidery of Adam's name, split between left and the right shoes.

Proceeds from the sale of the sneaker will go directly to Planned Parenthood.

“Winter’s cold, and I couldn’t find a warm sneaker to walk around in,” Horovitz said in a statement (via CBS News). “Given the outcome of our current election, it’s gonna get a lot colder before we can feel that summer sun again.”

“So I collaborated with my friend Una [Kim, founder of] Keep shoes not just because I wanted warm sneaks, but because I support small business. I support women-run business. I support Asian-American-run business," he continued. "Net proceeds of this shoe will be donated to Planned Parenthood because I support a woman’s right to choose and feel that women should not be punished for making decisions about their own lives and bodies.”

Earlier this month, Ad-Rock held an anti-hate rally after the Adam Yauch Park was vandalized with anti-semitic graffiti. The park was created in honor of the late Beastie Boy member Adam "MCA" Yauch.
