Chris Brown is shelling out some hard-earned cash to put the past behind him.

A year after Breezy was arrested for punching a photographer outside of a Washington D.C. hotel, TMZ reports that the case has finally been settled. With the help of his lawyer Mark Geragos, Chris struck a plea deal and pleaded guilty to simple assault -- avoiding prison, probation and any fines -- and paid $100,000.

In addition, the lawsuit Frank Ocean's cousin filed in December 2013 -- resulting from a brawl between Chris' and Frank's entourages outside a record studio in January 2013 -- has also been settled. And this one was for a steal of just under $20,000.

With these two legal issues out of the way, the 'X' creator is clearly taking steps toward progress. However, he still has to deal with the probation violation and perform community service for his 2009 assault on Rihanna.
