Now that 50 Cent is an independent artist, he's about to show how influential he is in the rap game (attn: Steve Stoute). The New York rhymer will return to SXSW in Austin, Texas, this year to perform a live-stream concert via the Hang w/ mobile app.

The event will be held on March 11 at 1100 Warehouse at 8PM. The 38-year-old rapper is an investor with Hang With Inc., which has been downloaded more than 1 million times since its launch in March 2013. Veteran hitmaker Timbaland is also a partner in the app company as well.

"I’m excited to be able to bring my fans behind the scenes and give the opportunity to those who couldn’t make it a chance to experience a concert at South By Southwest," said Fif in a press release.

So far, Hang w/ has broadcast 3 million live events, so this is a worthwhile investment for both parties.

The last time 50 Cent visited SXSW was in 2012, where he performed his classic debut album, 'Get Rich or Die Tryin',' in its entirety. His former boss Eminem joined him onstage to perform 'Patiently Waiting' and a medley of hits including ’Til I Collapse' and '8 Mile.'

Tickets are available now. For information, visit SXSW 2014.
