Since 50 Cent is making the promotional rounds for his upcoming album, 'Animal Ambition' --  doing interviews, shooting new videos and performing -- he's a pretty busy guy. But was he too busy to attend his son Marquise's high school graduation?

To address the allegation -- which has been floating around for a few days now -- the 'Winners Circle' rapper stopped by BET's '106 & Park.' The Queens-bred rapper revealed he had no idea when the graduation was because he claims his son's mother never told him. He also sounded a little reluctant to talk about the issue publicly.

"I don't need an explanation," he shares. "I don't really. I think that my personal life, portions of it are actually supposed to be personal. The actual life as an entertainer is a whole other portion of your life. My son, I haven't received an invitation."

In addition, the 38-year-old business mogul says he was on a film set when his son graduated, and that Marquise's mom is much too eager to speak to the press about their personal issues to be spiteful.

"When he graduated I was in Budapest on a movie with Melissa McCarthy, Jude Law and Jason Statham," 50 explains. "I think at some points the reason why it actually comes out is because his mom is going to TMZ. I wish she'd find someone so she could leave me alone."

Earlier in the interview, 50 said he'd like to have a better relationship with his child, but his ex-girlfriend stands in the way. "It's tough because my relationship with my older son is dictated by his actual mom."
