21 Savage has not only had a breakout year in music, now the Atlanta rhymer is moving into television-- sort of.

The rapper is starring in the animated Instagram series, The Year 2100, where he voices himself as a super villain who controls the world with music. The first of six 10-minute episodes premieres on series creator WeBuyGold’s Instagram page today.  His evil sidekick and advisor is an Alexa-like device named Tootie, and the feature was inspired by an image taken from the rapper's guest spot on ESPN’s Highly Questionable. You know, the shot of the rapper that went viral, where he's smiling like he's an evil villain about to take over the world?

The storyline for the animated series revolves around 21 Savage's need to record music to retain his superpowers. The  series is illustrated by artist and animator Somehoodlum and written by Richie Carl and Ian McLees. New episodes will premiere weekly on WeBuyGold’s Instagram feed, and will also be distributed on Facebook and YouTube. Bonus content including behind-the-scenes video with Savage, photos and character descriptions will also be available, Billboard reports. DJ Khaled serves as creative director for WeBuyGold, which plans to launch several additional animated series in the future.

21 Savage said he's happy to be involved with the project.

“I’m excited to bring this cartoon villain to life and for my fans to see a new side of me,” said 21 Savage in a release announcing the series.

Dan Altmann, co-founder of WeBuyGold agreed.

“This series showcases 21 Savage’s talent and music in a new way," eh said. "He was the perfect person to develop this creative story around."
