The 2016 Grammy Awards is finally here and several hip-hop and R&B artists are vying for the coveted golden gramophone.

All eyes are on Kendrick Lamar who is up for a whopping 11 nominations including Album of the Year for To Pimp a Butterfly and Best Rap Performance for “Alright.” Following behind him is R&B crooner The Weeknd who garnered seven nominations, including Album of the Year for Beauty Behind the Madness and Record of the Year for “Can’t Feel My Face.”

Fellow Canadian artist racked up five nods, including one for Best Rap Performance for the song, “Back to Back.” Drizzy also stays winning this year as “Energy” is nominated for Best Rap Song and If You’re Reading This Its Too Late gets a nod in the Best Rap Album category.
