Controversy may still be swirling around Chris Brown, but that hasn't stopped the singer from making some career moves. His latest foray into the world of celebrity is a modeling contract with Wilhelmina, reports WWD.

Though he has a past that includes abusing his ex-girlfriend Rihanna and recently dressed up as a terrorist for Halloween, the brand still considers him a marketable spokesperson.

"Art and style has always played a significant role in my life -- it's evolved with me throughout my career," said Brown, and the higher-ups at Wilhelmina seems to agree, brushing off the Fortune hitmaker's checkered past.

"Chris Brown is a ... multifaceted artist with a unique take on style, and we are excited to translate and extend his brand," said Taylor Hendrich, director of Wilhelmina Men.
