It has not been an easy road for Toni Braxton since filing for bankruptcy in 2010, and Braxton isn't out of rough waters just yet.

According to TMZ, a bankruptcy trustee is suing the "Unbreak My Heart" singer for fraudulently transferring $53,490 to her estranged husband, Keri Lewis, in order to avoid paying back creditors in her bankruptcy case. The documents show that Lewis received the funds after Braxton's money was already earmarked to repay creditors.

A rep for Braxton disputes any wrong doing, telling TMZ: "All of the payments made to Lewis prior to Toni's bankruptcy filing were appropriate transfers for reasonable and necessary personal and business expenses in the ordinary course of her business." The rep added that Braxton "will continue to provide the trustee whatever info is needed to address the allegation."

Tonight, Braxton opens up about her financial struggles on VHI's Behind the Music, which airs at 10 p.m. ET on VHI.
