Kid Cudi has a loyal following, just check his Twitter account to see the massive amount of fans who latch onto his every word. On Dec. 26, the Ohio native went to the social networking site to share a touching open letter he wrote for one of his supporters, Ben Breedlove, an 18-year-old from Austin, Texas who died on Christmas Day due to a heart condition.

Breedlove battled with the disease hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) all of his life. In a touching two-part video series, he shared his story via YouTube on Dec. 18 -- almost one week before his passing -- by writing his life experience with HCM on index cards.

During the course of the videos, Breedlove recalled his brushes with death at age 4, again in 2007, and once more on Dec. 6. The latter memory he shared with viewers detailed him passing out in school and paramedics attempting to resuscitate him. His heart stopped beating and he ceased breathing for three minutes, yet during that time he had a vision of his favorite rapper, Kid Cudi.

"The next thing that happened, I'm not sure if it was a dream, or vision, but while I was still unconscious I was in this white room," Breedlove showed on the index cards. "No walls, it just went on and on...There was no sound. But that same peaceful feeling I had when I was 4. I was wearing a really nice suit and so was my fav rapper, Kid Cudi. Why he was the only one there with me, I'm still trying to figure out [sic]."

The 'Man on the Moon II: Legend of Mr. Rager' creator came across the young fan's story and was moved by his strength. Check out Kid Cudi's heartfelt letter to Ben Breedlove below.

"Iam so sad about Ben Breedlove. I watched the video he left for the world to see, and him seeing me in detail, in his vision really warmed my heart. I broke down, Iam to tears because I hate how life is so unfair. This has really touched my heart in a way I cant describe, this is why I do what I do. Why I write my life, and why I love you all so much. Life is really fucked up sometimes, but I know Ben is at Peace, and I hope he gets a chance to sit and talk with my Dad. We love you Ben. Forever. Thank you for loving me. To Ben's family, you raised a real hero, he's definately mine. You have my love [sic]."
