Earlier this week, Gucci Mane dropped a new mixtape, 'Writings on the Wall 2,' sparking rumors that he was released from prison since a party was to be held in his honor at a strip club in Atlanta. Now the whispers and gossip can come to a rest as the 'Ferrari Boyz' creator walked out from behind bars on Friday morning (July 8).

According to Access Atlanta, the southern rhymer was let go from the Fulton County jail at 4:30AM. Gucci, born Radric Davis, entered the Fulton prison on April 20, after being transferred there from the custody of Dekalb police officials.

The 'Lemonade' rapper was arrested on Jan. 28 and charged with misdemeanor battery, then released until April, where he was incarcerated stemming from the same incident where he was accused of pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle. The 31-year-old Atlanta native reportedly offered the 36-year-old victim $150 to perform a sexual act and when she refused, he pushed her from the car.

On the music front, Gucci Mane is gearing up to release his joint album with protégé Waka Flocka Flame, titled 'Ferrari Boyz.' The man with the ice cream cone tattooed on his face phoned in to DJ Drama's Hot 107.9 radio show in Atlanta, from prison, to reveal the project would see an August 9 debut.
