Bay Area rapper Kreayshawn's massive Internet buzz has officially landed her a record deal with Columbia Records.

Powered by a performance at this year's SXSW music festival and the success of her track, 'Gucci Gucci,' which garnered 2 million views on YouTube in just two weeks, receiving a call from a major label seemed like a natural progression for the Oakland, Calif. native.

"I'm excited to work with my new Columbia family," Kreayshawn told the BoomBox in a statement released by her label. "They understand my vision and are going to let me continue everything I've been doing. My hope is to inspire others to be young, wild, and free."

While the amount of the deal has not been announced, rumor has it that the rapper netted $1 million to sign with the label, home to the likes of Beyonce, Maxwell and Adele.

The former film student first got her feet wet behind the scenes directing videos for Soulja Boy, DB the General and fellow Bay Area artist Lil B. The 21-year-old has been characterized by GQ Magazine as a "loveable oddball' for her 'Gucci Gucci' video which finds her rocking clothing inspired by the '80s as she walks down Rodeo Drive rapping the lyrics to her song.

Kreayshawn's debut album is due out later this year.
