Lil Wayne fans are going to have be a bit more patient. XXLMag.com reports that Universal Motown reps have confirmed that the release date for Weezy's ninth solo album, 'Tha Carter IV,' has been pushed back to Aug. 29.

This is only the latest delay for 'Tha Carter IV,' which was thought to be dropping June 21. Earlier this year, the album had been slated for a May 16 release date as well. The news comes on the heels of Lil Wayne releasing his forthcoming album's third official single, the Detail produced 'How to Love.'

On 'How to Love,' Weezy is singing for its entirety over acoustic guitar licks. The other songs that have been released from 'Tha Carter IV' include '6 Foot 7 Foot' featuring Young Money rapper Cory Gunz, and 'John' featuring Rick Ross. Weezy also performed another tune reported to be on the album called 'Nightmare At the Bottom' during his 'MTV Unplugged' appearance, set to air June 12.

The New Orleans rapper won't be sitting idly at home while waiting for his album to drop since his I Am Still Music Tour has been extended to run all summer.
