Nick Cannon Takes Eminem Beef to Showtime Comedy Special

Entertainer Nick Cannon has threatened to continue his ill-advised beef with Eminem on his upcoming Showtime comedy special.

Cannon, whose wife, Mariah Carey, just gave birth to twins, has been engaged in a more-or-less one-sided war of words with Em over comments the 'Recovery' rapper made about Carey, whom he famously claimed to have dated early in his career. On Cannon's upcoming May 14 Showtime comedy special, 'Nick Cannon: Mr. Showbiz,' the I'm So Wack' rhymer says he will continue to address his issues with Eminem's insults against his wife.

"You get to see how I feel about it," he told XXL. "And I think that's why a lot of people are gonna be intrigued to watch. I talk about everything from Eminem, to my marriage, to how I feel about other celebrities and all that stuff. So, it's an interesting take. People have been buzzing about it. I've been on the road with it for the last year, and everywhere I go it's a standing ovation. So, I think it should be well-received."

Cannon also had some words for the Detroit rapper, whom he has challenged to a boxing match, amongst other ignored attempts at drawing out the respected MC.

"I mean, if I see dude, and it ain't 10,000 body guards around, I feel like we need to have a real man-to-man. And if he's a froggish type of dude then we both can leap. But I doubt that's ever gon' happen because he don't move like that," Cannon continued. "It's one of those things where it's definitely entertainment, I get that, but then there's a line you cross where you start to disrespect a man's family in different situations."

Filmed last month at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, 'Nick Cannon: Mr. Showbiz' airs on Sunday, May 14 at 9PM EST. Cannon has also received praise for another TV special that he executive produced; the docu-series 'Son of a Gun' -- following the rise of rapper Cory Gunz -- premiered over the weekend on MTV to rave reviews.
