More details have come to light regarding the arrest of troubled rapper Gucci Mane. The rapper was taken into custody by Dekalb County Police while visiting his probation officer on Friday, April 8, after allegedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle.

Dekalb County Police have now confirmed the reports that Gucci is in fact being charged for the incident with the woman, whom he allegedly picked up at a local mall and invited out to breakfast. When the woman refused the rapper's $150 offer to engage in undisclosed activities at a local motel, Gucci reportedly pushed her out of the moving car. She was later treated for soreness and pain at a local hospital.

Gucci, who has had several run-ins with the law over the past six months, was charged with a misdemeanor count of battery, but is expected to face further charges for violating the terms of his probation.

The Brick Squad rhymer is currently being held in Atlanta's Dekalb County Jail, where he has failed to make his $40,000 bail. Meanwhile, he and protege Waka Flocka Flame will be releasing their collaboration album, 'The Ferrari Boys,' later this spring, followed by Gucci's fourth solo album, 'The Ice Cream Man,' which comes after his recent facial tattoo. Gucci dropped his new street album, 'The Return of Mr. Zone 6,' featuring the new cut '24 Hours,' on March 22.
