Rihanna gave country music fans an energizing show on Sunday night (April 3) at the 46th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. Alongside Sugarland frontwoman Jennifer Nettles, Rihanna performed a country-tinged version of 'California King Bed,' a guitar-laden ballad from the pop chanteuse's fifth studio album 'Loud.'

Dressed in a white fringe dress and showing off her signature fiery red hair -- this time she ditched the long tresses and opted for a styled, short 'do -- Rihanna belted out lyrics like, "In this California king bed/ We're ten thousand miles apart/ I've been California wishing on these stars/ For your heart for me/ My California king," while Jennifer, donning a black and purple pantsuit chimed in on the tune in her country twang, "Arm in arm/ Dusk to dawn/ With the curtains drawn/ And a little last night on these sheets/ So how come when I reach out my fingers/ It seems like more than distance between us."

With a full band behind the two female powerhouses, Rihanna and Jennifer Nettles capped off the song with a warm embrace.

In the past, R&B stars like Keri Hilson and Beyonce have both performed with Sugarland at the 'VH1 Divas Salute the Troops' and American Music Awards respectively.
