The Beastie Boys have gone through some trials and tribulations in pushing out their long-awaited eighth studio album, with the cancer diagnosis of MCA, born Adam Yauch, putting an understandable delay on the project. But the trio assure fans that 'Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2' is on track for its spring release, unlike 'Pt. 1.'

"It's still delayed -- the first one," Mike D tells Radio 1. "The second one is coming out as originally scheduled."

The New York-based rap outfit are even considering touring in support of the new effort, being "open" to the suggestion depending on Yauch's bill of health. The ill Beastie has apparently been given the "all-clear," 18 months after doctors found a cancerous tumor in his parotid gland during July 2009. "We're really happy about it," Mike D said of his group member's positive road to recovery.

To hold fans over until 'Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2' debuts, the Beastie Boys will serve up a new video, premiering at the Sundance Film Festival later this month, Jan. 20-30, 2011 in Park City, Utah. The visual short, written and directed by Yauch, is a follow-up to the group's 1987 hit, '(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!),' which will show what happened to the Boys after the famed clip.

"We've got a video we got to finish, a big video," Mike D reveals. "I know people don't make big videos any more but we made a big video. It's not even a video, it's a film-eo. A cinematic, short film."
