This past weekend, Young Jeezy booked it down to New Providence, Bahamas to play a special gig on Saturday, Dec. 4. But it didn't go as smoothly as planned. Hours before he was slated to take the stage at Club Luna on West Bay Street, the ATLien was arrested and released by local police, with no reason given on why the rapper was hauled off to the clink.

Though police would not provide any further details on the arrest, the 5-0 did confirm that he was taken into custody at Wulff Road police station following an incident in Fox Hill. "He was here with us a short while, he passed through the station briefly on Saturday," Superintendent Ashton Greenslade told The Tribune. "He was booked in here and taken to CDU (Central Detective Unit)."

Jason Cartwright, a promoter for the event, left a message on his Facebook page confirming the arrest. "People tried to shut us down, yea' Jeezy was locked up, he out now (about) to beat the stage bad tonight," he wrote. Jeezy's last tussle with the law took place in June 2008, when he was arrested for DUI. Police charged him with reckless driving, speeding and driving without tags, and freed him from prison later that day.
