NBA player Carmelo Anthony is getting into the music game, releasing the mixtape 'Become Legendary' on his record label Krossover Entertainment. Although he's not the first baller to try his hand at hip-hop, Melo has managed to snag big names like Bun B, Ghostface Killah, Nas and MC Lyte, to help him showcase his love for music. The mixtape encourages fans to reach for their goals, and coincides with Anthony's seventh signature shoe Melo M7, through Jordan Brand.

Outside of the court, Anthony is known for his charity work. The 26-year-old donates to organizations both in his hometown of Baltimore, and in Denver, where he resides during the basketball season. Anthony is also a spokesman for the Family Resource Center in Colorado, and helps organize a Christmas party, entitled A Very Melo Christmas. He founded Krossover Entertainment in 2006 and has since added rappers Cassidy and Diego Cash to their growing roster.

Fans can visit Anthony's Twitter page for information on how to download the mixtape. 'Become Legendary' and the Melo M7 shoe will be released Nov. 20.
